Eminem: Recovery

Eminem is an American male rapper. His name at birth was Marshall Mathers and was born on October 7th 1972. He started taking rapping seriously when he was 14 and developed his name 'M&M' which later became 'Eminem'. He is one of the most famous white rappers in the world.

My favourite album by Eminem is 'Recovery'. I like this album because it has lots of good songs on it, not just one or two good ones and then lots of random bad songs that have been put on to satisfy. My favourite songs on this album are 'Not Afraid' and 'Cold Wind Blows'.

'Not Afraid' is about how he had a really bad life and how he had to put up with it. He had a nasty childhood as he always got bullied for being on the move all the time and being the new kid. He explains how he wanted to cermit suicide but when he didn't he felt stron and brave for not doing it. I like this song because it makes me feel good about myself and strong. It has also got a good chorus that is energetic.

This rap is probably aimed at teenagers because there is quite a lot of swearing and it describes lots of volence but I still think it is a cathy and strong rap.
